What led you to become a Game Marketer?
David Guo: “In 2009, I found that many game companies don't care about user experience and customer satisfaction. That's the reason I joined Top Games Inc. Top Games focuses on providing top-tier Player Experiences and services. We design games from the player's perspective. Noting that players not only make many friends but also live out portions of their lives in games, we aimed to create the best gaming experience possible and to cultivate long-lasting gaming communities that would continually enhance that experience.”
what traits should a game developer professional possess to be successful in their role?
David Guo: “I am basically in charge of all essential Top Games Dev Department. To achieve success in each respective role, I firmly believe every TGI employee should testify quickly and implement even faster. There's no specific method for achieving success right away. This is why we test our products or services over and over again to implement the best option and to scale up as quickly as possible. With efficient execution and attention to detail, we are delighted to have launched the Hit game ‘ Evony' that is enjoyable for our users.”
“We now have more than 100 million players worldwide, and our gaming portfolio now includes eight-strong games, with three new titles coming later in the year. We build games fast and responsibly. We focus on the player first, building a high-quality experience. This focus has resulted in the release of multiple games with 4.5-star-and-higher ratings. We rely heavily on data science to validate opinions and decision-making within the development team. Our direct experience with superior games marketing worldwide, across traditional media, television, and online channels, is supported by a responsible marketing initiative.” David added.
What are the challenges of marketing your award-winning game projects?
David Guo: “The biggest challenge for our DEV team is creating games people will continually turn to and enjoy well into the future. We developed the Evony title more than a decade ago. We are constantly adding new features and elements to provide players with a better gaming experience.”
“In June, according to tracking records from data.ai, we specialized in mobile strategy titles that have led to record-breaking sales-rank as the ninth overall grossing RPG company in the United States, the first time Top Games Inc. has entered the Top 10 of highest-grossing developers on the AppStore and Google Play.
The Top Games research and development team consistently looks for new ways to engage and surprise gaming fans and the company's upcoming titles include Region of Dragon and Mafia Origins.”
As the NYX Game Awards winner, what does it mean for you and your team?
David Guo: “It is a great honor to receive this award! My team and I are so excited about this news. We will immediately share this news through social media profiles like Twitter and Facebook. We are so thankful for our lovely players and our developer teams. Without their ongoing support, we couldn't have made it through all these challenges or achieved such an amazing level of success.”
What are the future plans of the team?
David Guo: “We plan to continue building on its popular catalog by releasing exciting titles with top-requested features, including co-op gameplay, 3-D sequencing, and real-time strategy play throughout this year. Currently, we're looking to release three new titles in the coming year. We're proud to both quickly put out new games and keep the customer experience at the forefront of all that we do.”
I think in the future if the team continues to maintain the mission of game development – a sense of high-quality user-oriented experience – the team will continue to bring us different types of games and create surprises, so let's look forward to it together.
